[EventCalendar] compiling po to mo

But when i compile the changed po-file with
msgfmt -o ec3-nl_NL.mo ec3-nl_NL.po
and upload the changed mo-file and then refresh my browser, my
calendar is gone.
When i put the original mo-file back it works again.

What am i doing wrong?


I have no idea. That command is exactly the one I use, as you can see
from eventcalendar3/Makefile. Perhaps you are changing the ownership or
permissions of the .mo file?

What version of gettext are you using? Mine says...

 % msgfmt --version
 msgfmt (GNU gettext-tools) 0.15
 Copyright (C) 1995-1998, 2000-2006 Free Software Foundation, Inc.

 I have version 0.14.6 under Mandriva. I can't find a newer version made for
Mandriva.
I don't know if compiling a newer version, from
http://www.gnu.org/software/gettext/, will have an effect on other things
Mandriva needs to work properly.

I will ask at a Mandriva forum.
