[EventCalendar] Ordering issues

I think I may have figured out why some of us are reporting events not
ordering by event time on the big calendar and the sidebar calendar
popup. I apologize if this is wrong or if it's a known issue. Also
it could be considered too specialized a case to be an issue, but I
don't think so!
Here's my example:
On Saturday, there are two movies showing. "Feature" is showing at
5:00 and 8:00. "Classic Matinee" is showing at 2:00. My calendar day
is ordering like this:
5:00 Feature
8:00 Feature
2:00 Classic Matinee
The reason for this is that Feature is also showing on Friday, the day
before, and Classic Matinee is not.
To test this, I added a time for Classic Matinee on Thursday, thereby
making the first event time of Classic Matinee before the first event
time of Feature. Once I did this, the Saturday events were ordered
properly:
2:00 Classic Matinee
5:00 Feature
8:00 Feature
This also brings up another issue: the sorting seems to be happening
by event, rather than by event occurrence. So I put in two test
events, both occurring on the same single day. Test Feature 1 happens
at 9:00 and 11:00, and Test Feature 2 happens at 10:00. This is what
I got:
9:00 Test Feature 1
11:00 Test Feature 1
10:00 Test Feature 2
So it seems to me that the problem for me is that I want the listing
to be not of events, but of incidences of events.
Does this make sense?
Thanks,
-Helene
